Halloween Costumes are fun to wear. I like historical ones specially pirate costumes and 18th century style ones.I like the decadence of 18th century France.It was an age of enlightenment ,of free love and leisure for the aristocracy. Why shouldn’t we go to a Halloween party dressed as Marie Antoinette or Louis the 14th ? Crinolines and powdered wigs were fashionable in 2006 Halloween because of the release of a certain movie back then . Those kind of costumes are hard to sew at home but there are many available on the market at various costume shops.The downside of rococo and baroque fashion was that men and women alike had to wear lice infested wigs,they used led based powder for their wigs and makeup ,women had to wear tightened corsets in order to get that flat chested look etc. That is why those kind of Halloween Costumes are fun to wear ,to get that artificial porcelain doll look.
